The Great Dickens Christmas Fair and Victorian Holiday Party will open 10 a.m. Friday at the Cow Palace, located at 2600 Geneva Ave.
The fair offers visitors the chance to wander through three acres of exhibition halls that have been staged to look like a Dickensian Christmas Card, according to fair representatives.
The fair, which recreates an ambiance akin to Victorian London, will feature shops, pubs, tea rooms, lecture halls, theaters, a music hall, and over 700 actors, according fair representatives.
After the fair opens Friday, it will be open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. each subsequent Saturday and Sunday until December 23, according to fair representatives.
General admission to the fair ranges from $12 for children to $80 for a season pass, according to the fair's website.
This is the 34th year that the fair will be held, according to fair representatives.
