Fire captain due in court for drunk driving crash

MARIN COUNTY, Calif.

Marin County prosecutors say 46-year-old Rick Marshall had a blood-alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit when he crashed on his way to work on September 18.

Marshall drove his own truck towing a speedboat into a tree on Novato Boulevard near Stafford Lake. He was severely injured and has not been able to return to work.

Marshall could face up to one year in jail on misdemeanor charges.
