According to Sgt. Robert Durham, a Marine sergeant was traveling southbound on Highway 85 when his government vehicle was struck by gunfire. He pulled over to the side of the road and called police.
Officials are closing part of the southbound lanes while they investigate the reports of gunfire. They say this will last about 10 minutes. The northbound lanes are not affected by this closure.
