Classes resume after flooding closes SFSU building

SAN FRANCISCO

Students were informed of the flooding through the school's emergency alert system and messages posted on its social media pages and website at 8:10 a.m.

School spokeswoman Ellen Griffin said the flooding appears to have occurred after a pipe burst early this morning.

Morning classes that are normally held in the building were canceled.

This afternoon, the school said on its website that some classes were resuming, and others had been relocated.

Information on the status of specific classes can be found on the site at www.news.sfsu.edu/creative-arts-building-update.

Griffin said she did not yet have an estimate on any damage caused by the flooding. She advised students to check the website for information on Thursday classes.
