On Friday the non-profit Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, also known as NACA, brings its mortgage relief program back to the Bay Area.
You'll get free help in dealing with your lender. Many past participants have been able to lower their mortgage payments by an average of $500 to $1,000 a month.
The event is scheduled for Friday through Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Marriott Marquis on Fourth Street in San Francisco.
