Santa Clara County firefighters have finally managed to contain a house fire that had been smoldering for hours.

The fire started at 7:40 p.m. on Friday at 18565 Aspesi Drive. Fire officials say the family occupying the home had safely evacuated the house prior to the arrival of firefighters.

Crews had to work around downed, live power lines while trying to get to the flames. At one point they had to back off because of the electrical danger.

Officials say no injuries have been reported.
