The blaze broke out the Marlow Apartments on Marlow Road near Bay Village Circle around 1 a.m.
Investigators say the fire damaged eight apartment units. the Red Cross is helping 25 residents finds a place to stay. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire, but they believe it may have started on a second floor balcony from a barbecue grill.
