For decades now, the restaurant has hung photos of noteworthy local residents, dignitaries and officials. More than 100 pictures now grace the walls.
Manheimer has been San Mateo's police chief since 2000. She's the former president of the California Police Officers Association, the first woman to hold the position.
She also served 16 years in the San Francisco Police Department.
