The dogs were found separately near Alder Avenue and brought to the Tri-City Animal Shelter.
Staff at the shelter say the dogs are between 3 and 5 years old and appear to be related.
Unfortunately, the dogs are not micro-chipped.
Police are hoping the owner claims the dogs, or at the very least, provides some information about the dogs, all in hopes of placing them in a new home.
Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 UPDATE:
The Fremont police tweeted, "We are happy to report that the two dogs were re-united with their family! They got loose while walking with their owner Wed."
