A middle school near Portland, Oregon has fired its football coach after he refused to back down from plans to hold a team party at Hooters.

Corbett School District gave Coach Randy Burbach an ultimatum -- find another location for the party or be fired. Burbach refused to budge.

"If I allow myself to be pressured to change this venue now, what lesson does that send my kids, my boys, the very ones I told that if you believe in it, you stand up and be counted," he said.

Burbach believes Hooters is appropriate for families. Some parents on the team disagreed and filed a complaint with the school.

The restaurant bills itself as "delightfully tacky."
