According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the group will ask the Port of Oakland to give it control of the 50 acre Howard Terminal site, west of Jack London Square.
The group hopes to entice Oakland A's ownership to get on board, or convince Major League Baseball the area is a viable site for a new ballpark.
