The program is called Operation Safe Net.
The goal is to provide a visible police presence in the community, which means more uniformed officers on the street.
So far, police say it's working.
Last Thursday, the day the program launched, police arrested 12 burglary suspects at Hogan Middle School.
Officers were able to return stolen property to the school.
