SplashData releases 2013 list of 'worst passwords'

Los Gatos-based "SplashData" is out with its new list of the worst passwords and "password" is no longer the worst choice.

"123456" was number one on the list in 2013 and "password" fell to number two, followed by "12345678."

"qwerty" was number four. Those are the first six letters on the top left letter row of most keyboards -- basically, the letter version of "123456."

"abc123" rounds off the top five.

SplashData, a password management company, compiled its list from stolen passwords leaked online over the past year.
