Wally Conron started it all with the labradoole decades ago by breeding a poodle and a Labrador retriever for a couple in Hawaii, the first real "designer" dog.
Conron now feels he's done a lot of damage in creating the mixed breed. He says their popularity has led to a rash of puppy mills and led to dogs that may be unwanted or have health problems.
