The Anorexxxy sunglasses have been on the market for three years, but the $555 shades just started making headlines this week.
But many people have taken offense to the name, saying it sounded too much like "anorexia."
"I think it's appalling and out of line and absolutely ignorant," National Eating Disorders Association President Lynn Grefe told Yahoo Shine. "There is nothing funny or sexy about anorexia."
The designer says he chose the name because of their slim construction.
