San Rafael's WildCare seeking volunteers to knit nests

Volunteers are knitting nests to help care for baby birds at the Wildcare Wildlife Hospital in San Rafael.

Baby birds are unable to regulate their own temperatures, so the knit nests are used to help keep them warm.

A group with Wildcare is asking for volunteers to whip up even more. They need at least 1,200 nests to take care of the hundreds of birds they rescue every year.
