Police arrest man accused of setting cars on fire in Novato

Police arrested John Allen Bixler, a 46-year-old Novato resident, for allegedly setting fire to cars at a Novato Chevy dealership.

NOVATO, Calif. (KGO) -- Novato police arrested a man accused of setting four electric cars on fire Monday at the Chevrolet Dealership.



John Allen Bixler, a 46-year-old Novato resident, is accused of causing more than $100,000 in damage to those cars.



Surveillance video shows a man, thought to be Bixler by police, pick something that looks like a piece of cloth. Then, moments later the man lights a fire and appears to throw it under one of the cars.



Police arrested Bixler Wednesday and booked him into Marin County Jail
