Alphabet, University of California employees among most generous Clinton donors

WASHINGTON (KGO) -- People affiliated with two California institutions are among the most generous donors to the Clinton Presidential campaign.

According to the Nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, individuals affiliated with the University of California and employees for Alphabet gave seven figure amounts to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Alphabet is the parent company of Google.

UC employees contributed nearly $1.2 million. Alphabet employees gave $1.1 million.

People affiliated with San Francisco based Wells Fargo were the 5th largest block of donors to Donald Trump, at just $41,000.
