SAN BRUNO, Calif. (KGO) -- This Tuesday marks the 4th anniversary of the PG&E pipeline explosion and fire in San Bruno.
On Monday, city officials will give an update on recovery in the Crestmoor neighborhood, where many of the 38 homes destroyed in the explosion and fire were located.
They will also explain the city's next steps to improve pipeline safety statewide so the disaster will not be repeated.
Eight people were killed and 66 injured when the 30-inch steel pipeline erupted.
PG&E is facing a $1.4 billion fine and criminal indictment in connection with the explosion.
