SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A San Francisco woman fighting to save her frozen embryos is facing an important deadline.

Lawyers for Mimi Lee and her ex-husband are supposed to file paperwork Friday to tell a judge what they think the ruling should be.

Lee, who is a breast cancer survivor, wants to use the embryos to have children.

Her ex-husband wants the embryos destroyed, per a previous binding agreement the two signed if the couple got divorced.

Once a judge hears from both attorneys, a decision should come within three months.
