SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The off-Broadway performances of 'Hamilton' in San Francisco are some of the hottest tickets around for theater goers.
On Thursday, thousands of students and teachers from 18 Bay Area schools will get to see the show.
It's all part of an innovative educational program that launched last year.

The students studied American history through a special integrated curriculum about Alexander Hamilton.
The students will not only get to see "Hamilton", they will also have a Q&A with members of the cast.

This is first of four Bay Area education matinees funded entirely by Facebook employees.
