Fawn recovering after getting stuck in fence outside Gilroy home

GILROY, Calif. (KGO) -- A fawn is recovering after getting stuck in a fence on Thursday in Gilroy.

Video shows Gilroy police giving animal control officers a helping hand to free the young deer.

The fawn was taken to a local wildlife rescue where it is being cared for.

Officials say fawns getting stuck in fences is not uncommon.
