SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Some of Google's Street View cars are now measuring smog.
Google Street View cars are now measuring smog in San Francisco instead of just taking pictures.
Google has partnered with San Francisco company Aclima to put air pollution sensors onto three of its cars.
The data could eventually be used to time traffic lights to reduce car pollution, but some people are concerned the smog maps could reduce real estate values.
The information will go public next year.
