Oakland police looking for suspect in overnight shootings

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland police are looking for a person who shot two people Saturday night, sending both to the hospital.

OPD says the victims were a 3-year-old girl and a 35-year-old man.

It happened just after 10 p.m. on 77th Avenue near Garfield in the Eastmont neighborhood. The victims were sitting inside a car at the time of the shooting, police say.

Both victims are expected to recover.

Police have not released a motive or a description of the suspect.
