1 dead after stabbing near San Jose City Hall

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A man has died after a stabbing near San Jose City Hall early this morning.

The stabbing happened on Santa Clara Street just before 5 a.m., according to police. The man died later at the hospital.

Santa Clara Street has been shut down between 5th and 7th, also the northbound direction of 6th from St John to San Fernando is closed.

No one is in custody and there is no motive at this time.
