SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (KGO) -- A San Rafael man is under arrest, accused of assaulting a woman inside her home overnight on Tuesday.
Police say the call came in from a home on A Street just before 3 a.m. about a strange man rubbing a woman's shoulders while she was in bed.
The woman and her roommate were able to barricade themselves in another room.
Officers arrived and found the man, 33-year-old Raul Lizama, jumping off the balcony and running away.
When they caught up to him, they found he'd stolen items from the home.
Lizama is charged with burglary and assault with the intent to commit rape. Police say he also violated is probation.
