SAN FRANCISCO -- Two people were shot in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood Monday afternoon, fire officials said.

The shooting was reported at 1:05 p.m. at Turk and Leavenworth streets, according to the fire department.

Two people were taken to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Police were not immediately available Monday afternoon to provide more details about the shooting.
