Gravel spill cleared from WB 580 in Dublin

DUBLIN, Calif. -- All westbound I 580 lanes in Dublin have reopened after a gravel spilled onto the highway late Monday night.

Around 11:39 p.m., the California Highway Patrol first received a report of the gravel spill on the highway, near the Dougherty Road exit, according to CHP officials.

At 3:16 p.m., Caltrans closed two of the highway's westbound lanes, as crews waited for a front loader truck to arrive to remove the gravel, CHP officials said.

At 4:46 a.m., the CHP issued a Sig Alert, closing three of the highway's lanes, according to the CHP.

All lanes reopened around 6 a.m.
