Select Bay Area Starbucks locations will serve alcohol at night

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Heads up, Starbucks fans! The coffee giant is bringing beer and wine to the Bay Area.

It's part of the company's Starbucks Evenings program.

The store at 9th Avenue and Irving Street in San Francisco will reportedly begin the program in June.

According to the Business Journal, the company has applied to serve alcohol at its Fisherman's Wharf location on beach Street and at 12 other stores, including some in Pleasanton, San Mateo, Emeryville and Livermore.
