CUPERTINO, Calif. (KGO) -- Flood water forced seniors out of a Cupertino retirement home Thursday morning. It happened at the Sunny View west facility on Cupertino Road at about 10: 30 a.m.

Distressed seniors had to abandon their apartments when storm drains could not handle all the water coming in.

The overflow swamped the common area of the center as well as some of the seniors' apartments.

Residents say it's not the first time the facility has flooded.
