ANTIOCH, Calif. -- Authorities evacuated a building at Antioch High School this morning on a report of a suspicious package that turned out to be harmless.
Antioch police responded at 9:53 a.m. to the school at 700 W. 18th St. on a report by the school's principal of a suspicious package in one of the classrooms.
Students were evacuated to a nearby location and a bomb squad responded to investigate the package, police said.
The package has since been determined to be nothing dangerous and students were able to return to their classrooms less than an hour later, according to police.
