TIBURON, Calif. -- Two kayakers were rescued from the water near Paradise Cay in Tiburon Saturday evening, according to the United States Coast Guard.

At 5:48 p.m. Saturday, Coast Guard officials were notified that a kayak had capsized and two people were in the water with their dog.

The Marin County Sheriff's Office, responding to an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast, located and rescued the couple, a husband and wife, and their dog, according to the Coast Guard.

Neither suffered any injury and both were wearing wetsuits, but they weren't wearing their life-jackets, which stayed with the kayak when it capsized, according to the Coast Guard.

The San Rafael Police Department and the Tiburon Fire Protection District also responded to Saturday's incident.
