Trader Joe's recalls chicken apple sausage

Trader Joe's is alerting customers about sausage it is pulling from its shelves.

According to the grocery chain, its supplier of Trader Joe's Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage (SKU 75270) alerted that there might be small plastic pieces in packages with date codes:

USE OR FREEZE BY APR 22 15

USE OR FREEZE BY APR 25 15

USE OR FREEZE BY APR 29 15

Trader Joe's alerted customers on April 20, 2015 that it is recalling packages of Trader Joe's Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage due to possible plastic pieces inside.

It said the affected product has been removed from sale, and it is urging customers to thrown the product away or to return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
