SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The city of San Francisco is holding a unique competition launching a contest to find the "ugliest lawn" in the city.
So what do you consider ugly? According to contest rules: "green, well-manicured, water wasting yards are considered the ugliest." The idea is to redefine what an attractive yard looks like -- in an effort to conserve water. If you would like to enter, you have until May 15. Just upload a yard photo to the city's Environment Department website. The winner will receive a lawn makeover with drought-tolerant plants native to San Francisco.
