SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KGO) -- There was a scary moment for passengers on a flight headed from San Francisco to Newark on Tuesday.

A United flight had to abort its takeoff, due to what the FAA is calling engine failure.

One passenger shared photos with us. He said the plane veered sharply about five seconds into takeoff.

And he posted a photo of other passengers getting off the plane after the San Francisco Fire Department boarded to investigate.

United Airlines is accommodating the 134 passengers on board to get to Newark.
