Water main break creates muddy mess near SF Civic Center

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police and fire crews responded to a report of a water main break Saturday afternoon at Gore and Franklin streets near the Civic Center.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:53 p.m. and arriving crews advised dispatch that the break was located at Franklin and Grove streets, the dispatcher said.

The gushing water mixed with dirt from nearby street construction, making a muddy mess.

Davies Symphony Hall says it was not damaged and Saturday night's show went on as scheduled.
