Gilroy police this afternoon arrested a man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a mentally disabled 19-year-old man in a Miller Park bathroom Wednesday. Gyasi Terran, 24, was identified earlier today as a suspect and police released a description and photo of the man. Terran allegedly approached the victim around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday at a convenience store near the park and the two walked to the park together, according to police. A short time later, the victim returned to the store and asked the clerk to call 911, explaining that he had been sexually assaulted in the park's bathroom. Terran was spotted near 1331 First St. around 3:30 p.m. today by a local resident and officers were dispatched to the location. He was taken into custody without incident and was booked at the Gilroy Police Department for sexual assault before being transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
