3 arrested for auto burglaries

VACAVILLE, CA

An officer stopped a 1995 Chevy Silverado pickup truck in the 100 block of Gable Avenue at about 5 a.m. because of a missing headlight, police said.

The driver of the truck, Jose Perez Ramirez, had no identification and was unlicensed, according to police.

The bed of the pickup truck contained numerous tools, stereos, CD players and cases, and other miscellaneous items. The officer was able to identify one of the items as property that had been stolen from a vehicle earlier that morning on Brookwood Drive, police said.

Ramirez was arrested, along with Rene Vizcarra and Wendy Castro, and booked into Solano County jail. The three face charges of auto burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy. Ramirez was also charged with driving without a license, police said.

Further investigation revealed that the majority of the items in the truck were connected to other Vacaville auto burglaries, police said. Some items remain at the Vacaville Police Department and have not yet been identified or claimed.

Vacaville police are also seeking a fourth suspect who goes by the nickname "Smokey" and may frequent the Gable Avenue area of the city.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Otha Livingston at (707) 449-5270.
