Police responded around 10 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 500 block of IOOF Avenue where two suspects yelling gang slogans had fired a rifle at a victim in a car, according to police.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

Officers responded and located the suspects inside an apartment at the complex. They searched the apartment and found a .22-caliber sawed-off rifle.

Jose Gorgua, 20, and a 15-year-old were arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with gang enhancements, according to police.

Police believe the shooting was gang-related, though they say there is no evidence connecting the victim to a gang.
