Injured deer rescued in Tiburon

An injured deer with a hunting arrow embedded in its shoulder was rescued by the Marin Humane Society in Tiburon.

An emergency wildlife response team including a staff veterinarian responded to the scene on Paradise Drive. Veterinarians were able to remove the arrow, and he remains in good condition.

It is unknown whether the deer's injury was a result of criminal activity. Anyone witnessing a poaching incident, or with information about such a violation, is encouraged to call the Department of Fish and Game at 1.888.DFG.CAPTIP.
