CHP officers first responded to reports of a big rig that overturned after crashing into a center guardrail just west of Grant Line Road at about 1:30 a.m., CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said. Crews worked to remove the truck and debris from the roadway until around 6 a.m., when a Sig alert that had been issued at 4:30 a.m. was canceled.

The driver was not injured in the crash, Caggiano said, though the truck reportedly damaged more than one hundred feet of guardrail along the left lane of Highway 580.
