Second furlough day for Oakland employees

OAKLAND, CA

The city is suspending administrative and other city services Tuesday as part of a furlough plan. Some services will operate normally including police, fire and other serious emergencies like sewer overflows or traffic signal outages. Headstart facilities and the Oakland Museum will also stay open.

This is the second of 11 business day closures. They run through April of next year.
