South Bay better prepared for floods

The Santa Clara Valley Water District finished a new project could help prevent floods during storms.

The new tunnel at the Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos is designed to release a large amount of water before a storm, so that the reservoir has room to fill up again, preventing flooding.

The $50 million project replaces a pipe that's been broken for years.
