Escama Studio:
Escama Studio is a collaborative design studio based in San Francisco and Brazil. Their flagship product is a line of sleek metallic handbags that are handmade with crochet and the recycled aluminum pull-tabs from discarded cans.
Each handbag uses anywhere from 250 to 1,600 pull tabs and requires hours to crochet by hand. The company provides employment to over 100 men and women in Brazil at a fair living wage.
