Ford Motors in Australia is looking into why the cruise control jammed as a driver was traveling 60-miles an hour on a freeway outside Melbourne.

Chase Weir, 22, was afraid that if he used his breaks the car might flip. As the car rolled along he called Ford, they told him to turn off the ignition, something he had already tried and didn't work. That's when he made an emergency call to police.

Police spent nearly an hour clearing the traffic in front of the runaway car. Finally Weir was able to get off the freeway and slam on the brakes.
