The Oakland Tribune says Lieutenant Jeff Loman faces an internal investigation after his girlfriend was involved in a wreck last Thursday in Napa County while driving the unmarked Ford Crown Victoria.
The CHP is investigating the crash and contacted Oakland police about their car being involved.
Police sources tell the paper that Lt. Loman apparently took the vehicle home against department policy.
