A vacant building in Oakland may still pose a serious threat to pedestrians.

The Oakland Fire Department closed Ford Street between 23rd and 29th Avenue Monday evening, to check a wall leaning precariously.

A fire four years ago caused the roof to collapse.

Crews have put barriers and tape around the west side of the structure.
