Officers arrested a man Thursday on suspicion of selling narcotics from a business in Santa Cruz.

Just before 12:45 p.m., officers from the Santa Cruz Police Department -- including the downtown unit, street crimes unit and the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Task Force -- served a drug related search warrant at a business in the 2400 block of Mission Street.

Police had been tipped off that 45-year-old Santa Cruz resident Santiago Sandoval had been using the business space to sell narcotics, according to officers.

During the search, both an ounce of packaged heroin and a quarter-ounce of packaged cocaine were found inside the business, according to police.

Officers also found Sandoval in possession of $657.

Police estimated the drugs to have a street value of $3,000.

Sandoval was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail and is being held on two charges of selling narcotics.
