Bankrupt Solyndra wants to give out bonuses

The Fremont-based company received a half billion dollar loan guarantee from the federal government, under the stimulus program before going bankrupt and laying off nearly all its staff.

But according to the Washington Times, company lawyers are now asking a judge to OK $500,000 in bonuses as part of an employee incentive plan. The goal is to give the few remaining employees motivation to stay at the company.

The bonuses could go anywhere from $10,000-$50,000.
