Monday marks the one year anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

It began was last September 17, when hundreds of people rallied in New York City's financial district to protest big banks and economic inequality. The rally sparked a worldwide movement.

Protesters marked the anniversary with a rally Saturday in New York. Several people were arrested on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to resisting arrest. More demonstrations are planned for Monday across the nation.

In the Bay Area, protestors plan to demonstrate at the Wells Fargo bank at the downtown Berkeley BART station. Other demonstrations are scheduled in San Francisco, including one at the PG&E headquarters on Market Street and another at the War Memorial on Van Ness. Two are also planned for the Financial District at One Market Plaza and at the Bank of America building.
